About

I’m Alex Kiarie - a Nairobi-based professional working at the intersection of finance and technology.

My foundation is in Economics, and I’m currently an Advanced-level CPA candidate. Alongside that, I hold AWS Cloud Practitioner and CCNA certifications, and I build real infrastructure — this site itself runs on a stack I designed and secured myself: S3, CloudFront, Route 53, with automated CI/CD.

I’ve worked across internal audit (Kenya Revenue Authority) and telecoms sales (Jamii Telecommunications) - roles that taught me how financial controls and technical systems actually intersect in practice, not just in theory. That intersection is what I’m building toward: roles in IT, cybersecurity, and tech-enabled finance and audit, particularly GRC and IT Audit.
